About the Event
This workshop critiques Ian McGarg's theory of Ecological Planning and its erasure of marginalized humans within planning while centering the models of sustainable living practices of black and brown folks globally. While sustainable forms of living continues to be a priority from local governments to small communities, this workshop will:
- illustrate how white supremacy actively prevents black and brown folks from fully participating in these practices.
- Demonstrate how to encourage and support the infrastructure for black and brown folks to fully engage in sustainability
